Erik
Eriksen After
some 5 years in the private sector, Erik Eriksen decided to work in
international development and has since spent most of his career in
international organizations. After several years in developing countries
(Africa and the Middle East), and at the HQ of the Food and Agriculture
Organization in Rome, he joined the World Bank in Washington DC. During his 15
years as a human resources manager and executive he was responsible for HR
management development, work on global HR strategies, and implementing all
aspects of human resource management. He
went on to develop a Global Human Resource Strategy for the UN Development
Programme and led its implementation for 5 years as their Director of HR
Planning and Change Management. He also managed two major downsizings for
UNDP. During his UNDP years Erik conducted interventions in some 70 Country
Offices around the world. Since
1994 he has been working as an organizational development and human resource
management consultant, bringing to bear his extensive managerial experience to
this work. from 1996 to 1999 he assembled and led a group of associates on the
systematic human resource reform effort in the International Fund for
Agriculture Development in Rome, reporting directly to its President. Erik
is a Norwegian citizen and works in several languages.
